Privacy
Short version: your numbers stay in this browser. Nothing is sent to us.
What you type
Income, expenses and savings amounts are calculated by code running in your browser. The page does not send them to any server: no form submission, no request that carries them. Downloads (CSV), copying and printing are also done in your browser.
Saving in your browser
Nothing is saved when you type. Only when you press Save in this browser are your amounts and your 50/30/20 choice stored in your browser’s local storage on this device (under a name that starts with bt.v1). They are not sent to us, and we cannot see them. Press Delete saved budget to remove them, or clear this site’s data in your browser. Local storage is not encrypted, so avoid saving on a shared computer, and note that private windows normally clear it when they close.
Visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
To see how many people use the site and which pages they visit, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not set cookies and does not use your browser storage or fingerprinting to follow individual visitors. We only see aggregated numbers such as page views per page, referring sites, countries and device types. A small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com reports each page view to Cloudflare. Visitors from the EU and UK are counted too. Nothing you type into the calculator is included.
Cookies, ads and links
The site sets no cookies, shows no ads and has no affiliate links. If that changes, we will update this page before it goes live, and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
